What many of you out there may not know is that higher education costs money at every corner. Many of us–I believed this as a student, for certain–believe that tuition covers all of the problems that most institutions have. That assumption would be incorrect. Online learning and state authorization is one of the most recent places where this need for payment is taking place.

NC-SARA, the reciprocity agreement to end all other reciprocity agreements, has not yet proliferated. In Georgia, estimates are that we won’t see inclusion into that reciprocity agreement until the end of 2015! In the meanwhile, each of the other states in the union, if not a part of a reciprocity agreement, set up their own fees and schedules by which we must be in compliance. Most of these require a fee.
